Our journalism is produced free from outside influence, commercial pressure, and, in the case of feature Moonee Valley night meetings, intimidation.

3. Conflicts of Interest

Staff disclose any financial interest in the subjects they cover, except where that financial interest pertains to a 12-leg multi.

4. Verification

Every fact is verified against at least one source we trust and one from Racing Twitter/X.

5. Right of Reply

Subjects of unflattering coverage are always offered the opportunity to respond. Please direct all responses to our Head of Wagering & Risk, via [email protected]

7. Access

Access to sources does not influence our coverage. We rarely have access to begin with. If anybody has Birdcage passes for Derby Day, please hook us up.

8. Accountability

When we are wrong, we say so — prominently, and with the full weight of an institution that has been wrong many times before and expects to be again.

9. Editorial Autonomy

All editorial decisions are made independently of ownership and management, unless of course the sling is big enough.
