A special investigation by The Pakistan Star has determined that a rescue helicopter was refuelling at the time the Ciaron Maher-trained Gringotts needed it most in the $3 million The Big Dance at Randwick.

Despite racecaller Darren Flindell putting out the SOS that “Gringotts needs chopper rescue” after the horse ran up multiple backsides in the straight, no aircraft was available to respond.

The investigation remains ongoing as grieving punters around the nation continue to demand answers.
