A frustrated therapist is urging a local man to let go of the career-ending injuries suffered by talented Corowa-based stayer Leica Falcon.

Librarian Warrick Doyle, 45, has reportedly steered months of expensive therapy sessions back to the subject of ‘The Falcon’.

"It doesn't matter what we're working on that week — we without fail end up back on the bowed tendons, the fact that he could have been better than Makybe Diva," the therapist said on condition of anonymity.

“I try to redirect him back to talking about his self-worth, boundaries, whatever's actually on the treatment plan… But we’ve made absolutely zero progress in eight months.

"He inevitably returns to how unlucky Leica Falcon was in both Cups, and how it was such a tragedy because he beat the handicapper with 48kg in the Caulfield Cup, then just goes on and on about the injuries. It’s been over twenty years, for fuck’s sake,” she said. 

The Pakistan Star understands that during a visualisation exercise, when asked to picture a time he felt truly happy and content in himself, Doyle put forward Leica Falcon’s dominant win in the 2005 Herbert Power Stakes.

"As a punter, I've never been more confident walking onto a racetrack," he said.

"That stride, that big action…" he trailed off.
