A local woman has painted a strong visual picture as she recalled a recent Tinder date's failure to live up to a bold profile promise.

28-year-old Molly Kavanagh, catching up with mates at hip new North Hobart bar Mystic Journeys, was keen to spill the goss on her latest tussle with the dreaded ‘apps’.

"He’d listed his height as six foot one, which suited me as I wanted to wear heels,” she told two trusted members of her punters club.

“But he’s walked in and lo and behold, he’s shorter than the Kilcoy straight.”

"Look, you fully expect guys to throw a few extra centimetres on top,” a resigned Kavanagh later told The Pakistan Star.

“But he would have been lucky to be nudging five-eight.

“It’s like matching with Jardines Lookout, only for Henry the pony to show up,” she said.

Kavanagh maintains she gave the rizz merchant a fair chance regardless, ordering a second glass of wine "to maintain professionalism."

The Pakistan Star has since viewed the man's Tinder profile and can confirm his listed height of 6'1" remains unchanged.
