Following short-lived stints as a Western Australian form guy and a trial expert, a local punter is continuing his ‘rebrand’ as a Hong Kong specialist.

27-year-old Corey Turner spent the Hong Kong season break “doing replays” and Googling the correct pronunciation of ‘Conghua’, in a move that has manifested in some bold statements in his punting group chat. 

“Boys, I think this could be a genuine Class 5 horse, maybe even Group class,” he said.

To add further gravitas to his Hong Kong racing discussion, Turner has been exclusively referring to trainers and jockeys by first-name only.

“He trialled up a treat for Vincent but Zac goes on here, Caspar isn’t messing around.”
