Brad ‘Shooter’ Adkins, 40, looks forward to “pushing the boat out” every Geelong Cup day as he embraces a ‘look good, feel good’ mentality.
Adkins, who works in waste management, said he’s only a “once or twice-a-year man” when it comes to gelling up the feathers.
“I get the spikes going, I have a bit of a shave, I even give the Vans a bit of a going-over with a wet tea towel,” Adkins told The Pakistan Star.
Although not required to by General Admission dress standards, Adkins also suits up for the occasion, combining a relaxed fit black ensemble — complete with black shirt — with a white belt and yellow ‘statement tie’.
“I’m not gonna lie, I look pretty bloody good,” Adkins declared on his way out the door after deploying a few sprays of his David Beckham cologne, a 2021 Christmas present.
The Pakistan Star understands that a “pumped-up” Adkins is currently en route to Geelong Racecourse in a hired stretch Hummer and is already on his third ‘Black Rat’, a classic mix of Bundaberg dark rum and cola.
