A punter has successfully restored the ‘feng shui’ of their online betting account after placing a $2.39 wager to “round off” their balance figure.

This masthead understands that a trifecta collect on the third at Kilcoy triggered the punter's ‘account decluttering ritual’, with the satisfaction of the win proving short-lived after the injection of funds brought his balance up to a visually displeasing $162.39.

“I just couldn’t keep looking at that random collection of numbers,” 32-year-old Kyle Kondo told The Pakistan Star.

“I quickly put the $2.39 on the next at Bordertown—what I like to call a ‘maintenance bet’—and even though my horse lost, I just felt completely at peace that my balance was sitting cleanly at $160,” he said.

It is understood that Kondo initially contemplated placing a $12.39 wager to achieve the even more harmonious account balance of $150, but ultimately opted for the more conservative financial play.
